This week (May 4–10, 2026), markets are entering the first full week of May with major U.S. indices near or at all-time highs, driven by strong corporate earnings and a tech/AI rally, though tempered by elevated oil prices from Middle East tensions. We have some data this week as well:
Tuesday: JOLTS job openings.
Wednesday: ADP private payrolls.
Friday: Nonfarm payrolls (consensus ~175K added), unemployment (~4.1%).
